With an MSc in Energy Studies with a specialization in International Oil and Gas Management from the University of Dundee in Scotland, Mallam Zulkifil Abba has over 20 years’ experience in the field of Energy and Project Finance. He also has a BSc in Economics, and an OND in Accountancy from the University of Maiduguri in Nigeria.
Following his extensive exposure in the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry, he has advised and partnered with State Governments on Energy projects the Public Private Partnerships, ranging from Oil and Gas to Power Generation. Zulkifil is one of the promoters and founding Directors of Mainstream Energy Solutions Limited, who successfully won the concession of the Kianji and Jebba hydro power stations, currently the largest Hydropower Generation Company in Nigeria, in the landmark privatization scheme by the Federal Government in 2013.
He is currently a Director at Petroquip Oil and Gas Services Limited -an offshore equipment supply company. Apart from also being the Chairman of Highland Disco Acquisition Limited, He is a sitting Director on the Board of major companies, some of which are: Petroflow Integrated Consultants Limited – a Sub-surface and Surface and Facilities Engineering Services Company, Jos Electricity Distribution Company, and Kainji Aquaculture Limited- which has been outfitted for modern day fish farming.
